We will be printing our own canvas tote bags with your unique design. Students are also encouraged to bring along other fabrics or t-shirts from their personal stash to print on.

Printmaking 101: MONOPRINT & MONOTYPE

This fun weekend course is a beginner's introduction to monoprinting and monotypes.

Both printmaking techniques can be inexpensive methods of producing editions of one instead of multiples - hence mono. Though these processes are alike, monoprinting is a process by which you manipulate an inked surface and in monotyping you draw and paint ink onto a smooth surface to produce the reverse image.

Students will have the opportunity to experiment with different techniques, a variety of tools and print layers to create their final works. Enjoy and relax whilst creating your own unique prints.

Suitable for beginners. No experience necessary.

Basic materials and equipment provided. With the option to purchase equipment for use at home.
